Basketball Recap: Millbrook Snags Sixth Win in Last Eight Games

Millbrook won the last time they faced Liberty, and Jaliah Jackson did her part to make sure it happened again. The Millbrook Pioneers blew past the Liberty Eagles 46-26 on Thursday thanks in part to Jackson, who posted 13 points in addition to seven boards and seven steals. She has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last ten times she's played.

Ivy Cavins and Mckenzie Bell certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Cavins had ten points, while Bell scored six points and eight rebounds. That was a full 38.5% of Liberty's points, marking the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.

Millbrook is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season. As for Liberty, they dropped their record down to 4-10 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.
