The Talladega County Central Fighting Tigers won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Saturday. They had to suffer through a rough 82-15 loss at the hands of Talladega. Talladega County Central was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 55-6.
Zae Cunningham continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Talladega, dropping a double-double on 34 points and 12 steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Cunningham has scored all season. Trinity Webb was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds.
Talladega County Central has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season. As for Talladega, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-6.
Talladega County Central will take on Fayetteville at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. Fayetteville has now lost 11 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 14. As for Talladega, they will head out on the road to take on Munford at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Munford comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 15 points in their last five games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
