The Premont Cowboys will head out on the road to face off against the Santa Gertrudis Academy Lions at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with nine consecutive losses dating back to last season for Premont and three for Santa Gertrudis Academy.

Premont's 25-7 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They fell to Agua Dulce 39-34.

Meanwhile, Santa Gertrudis Academy was the victim of a tough 40-19 loss at the hands of Miller on Wednesday.

Premont bumped their record down to 0-8 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Santa Gertrudis Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-10.

Premont suffered a grim 46-22 defeat to Santa Gertrudis Academy when the teams last played back in December of 2015. Can Premont avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
