Basketball Recap: Belleview Christian Comes Up Short

Belleview Christian was the 73-41 winner over Golden View Classical Academy when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Belleview Christian Bruins took a 47-35 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Golden View Classical Academy Sentinels on Friday.

When it comes to explaining why Belleview Christian lost, don't look at Collin Polson. Despite the final result, he went 6 for 9 on his way to 14 points and four steals. That was a full 40% of Belleview Christian's points, marking the third time in a row he's posted more than a third of the team's points. Bryce Polson was another key player, putting up nine points.

Golden View Classical Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Luke Chronowski, who put up 15 points and six rebounds. The matchup was Chronowski's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacob Walker, who went 6 of 14 on his way to 12 points and eight rebounds.

Belleview Christian's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Golden View Classical Academy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Belleview Christian will take on Denver Waldorf in a holiday battle at at 7:30 p.m. on December 20th. As for Golden View Classical Academy, they will host Front Range Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Front Range Christian will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Golden View Classical Academy surely won't give up without a fight.
