Preview: West Boca Raton Bulls vs. Olympic Heights Lions
West Boca Raton has been on the road for two straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Olympic Heights Lions at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Last Tuesday, West Boca Raton beat Pine Crest 63-52. The victory was just what West Boca Raton needed coming off of a 74-51 loss in their prior game.
Meanwhile, Olympic Heights was able to grind out a solid win over Spanish River on Thursday, taking the game 57-50.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Olympic Heights to victory, but perhaps none more so than Devon Brenner, who scored 11 points along with six assists and five rebounds. Christian Cadet was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with seven rebounds.
West Boca Raton pushed their record up to 8-10 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.3 points per game. As for Olympic Heights, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a massive bump to their 9-7 record this season.
West Boca Raton skirted past Olympic Heights 65-63 in their previous meeting back in December of 2023. Will West Boca Raton repeat their success, or does Olympic Heights have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
