Softball Recap: Fresno Takes a Loss

After flying high against Granite Hills last Saturday, Fresno came back down to earth. The Warriors came up short against the Mendota Aztecs on Monday, falling 12-6. The Warriors were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Aztecs earlier this season, when they won 29-9.

Fresno's defeat dropped their record down to 2-10-1. As for Mendota, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-14.

Looking ahead, Fresno will be playing in front of their home fans against Madera South at 3:30 p.m. on the 23rd. As for Mendota, they will host South at 10:45 a.m. on Tuesday. The Aztecs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Spartans have averaged an impressive 10 runs per game this season.
