Basketball Recap: Marsing Comes Up Short

Marsing lost a heartbreaker to Melba when they met back in January of 2024, and they left with a heavy heart again on Tuesday. The Marsing Huskies fell to the Melba Mustangs 63-58. The Huskies were probably out for revenge after losing 71-68 to them when the teams met back in February of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Despite the loss, Marsing still got an impressive performance from Teagan Kinney, who shot 4-for-6 from beyond the arc and dropped a double-double on 16 points and 13 boards. Kinney's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Levi Aristizbal, who posted eight points.

Marsing's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Melba, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 3-4 record this season.

Marsing didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 63-33 win against Vision on the 9th. Melba has also already played their next game, a 63-50 loss against The Ambrose School on the 9th.
