Baseball Recap: Moon Valley Extends Home Winning Streak to Three

Moon Valley won the last time they faced Washington and things went their way on Friday too. The Moon Valley Rockets walked away with a 4-1 victory over the Washington Rams. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Rockets.

James Lee spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on six hits and racked up eight Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up a single earned run in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Crystian Norstrom was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two triples, two runs, and one RBI. Those two triples gave him a new career-high. John Lowndes also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Moon Valley was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Moon Valley's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 3-1. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games. As for Washington, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.
