Baseball Recap: Milano Find Success

On Saturday, the Milano Eagles were able to grind out a solid victory over the Little River Academy Bumblebees, taking the game 4-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.

Jesus Reyes spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on five hits and racked up 11 Ks. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in strikeouts.

On the hitting side, Daniel Frei was excellent, scoring a run while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Milano's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Little River Academy, they dropped their record down to 0-3 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

Milano wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 9-1 defeat against Rosebud-Lott on the 22nd. As for Little River Academy, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Gatesville at 7:00 p.m.
