Dove Creek made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 216 from 311. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 52-0 victory over Mancos last week.
Norwood led A-8 West - Western (8 Man) in scoring this week after putting up 57 points on Plateau Valley.
The Bulldogs' offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Dalton Randolph threw for 87 yards and Tyler Ebberts had 44 yards receiving. On the ground Randolph chipped in 125 yards. Nick Jones helped Dove Creek's passing attack out by catching three balls for 34 yards.
Dove Creek's Randolph and Ebberts have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Randolph has thrown for 517 yards this season, while Ebberts, a 5-foot-10 receiver, has 10 catches for 210 yards. The Bluejays' Branson Mitchell leads the league in rushing yards with 1464.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Mavericks take on Mancos. Norwood is currently in first, while Kyle Graff's team is in third.
