Softball Recap: Denison-Schleswig Monarchs vs. Perry Bluejays

For Perry's part, not much got past Maci Tunink, who gave up just one hit and racked up seven Ks to keep Denison-Schleswig off the board.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Kalley Whelchel, who scored three runs while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Karagyn Whelchel, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Denison-Schleswig's loss dropped their record down to 13-19. As for Perry, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-18.
