It was a good run, but Alcovy unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of the Winder-Barrow Bulldoggs by a score of 51-48. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 126th, while the Bulldoggs are ranked 21st).

Alcovy's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-7. As for Winder-Barrow, the win was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 19-2.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Jackson County the next time they take the court. Winder-Barrow will host Jackson County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Alcovy will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on January 31st.
