Volleyball Game Preview: Wauseon Indians vs. Paulding Panthers

The Wauseon Indians will square off against the Paulding Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.

Wauseon came up short against Otsego on Saturday, falling 3-0. The loss continues a trend for the Indians in their meetings with the Knights: they've now lost three in a row.

Wauseon was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Otsego work for it, especially in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 29-27, 25-19.

Meanwhile, Paulding came tearing into Thursday's match with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against Delta as they made off with a 3-0 victory.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Paulding was: they took every set by at least 13 points. The final score came out to 25-12, 25-10, 25-12.

Wauseon better keep an eye on Darcy Taylor. She was instrumental in Paulding's win, getting six aces and four assists. Those six aces gave Taylor a new career-high.

Wauseon's defeat dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Paulding, their win bumped their record up to 12-4.

Wauseon skirted past Paulding 3-2 in their previous meeting back in September of 2024. Will the Indians repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
