Soccer Game Preview: Mission vs. Palmview

The Mission Eagles are taking a road trip to square off against the Palmview Lobos at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Mission has struggled recently with 11 defeats in a row, while Palmview will arrive with 11 straight victories.

Last Tuesday, Mission didn't have quite enough to beat Mission Veterans Memorial and fell 2-1.

Meanwhile, Palmview got the win against Mission Veterans Memorial on Tuesday by a conclusive 4-1.

Palmview's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-4. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 19 goals over those five games. As for Mission, their loss dropped their record down to 2-14.

Mission came up short against Palmview when the teams last played back in February, falling 2-0. Can Mission avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
