Soccer Recap: Benton Comes Up Short

After flying high against Cameron on Thursday, Benton came back down to earth. The Cardinals came up short against the North Kansas City Hornets on Saturday, falling 4-1. Benton haven't had much luck with North Kansas City recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Benton's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for North Kansas City, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matches. Benton will venture away from home to challenge Maryville at 5:00 p.m. on the 20th. As for North Kansas City, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Central at 6:30 p.m. on the 28th.
