Soccer Recap: Hopkins Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Hopkins was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Minnetonka Skippers, falling 5-0. While losing is never fun, Hopkins can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota soccer rankings (they are ranked 47th, while Minnetonka are ranked ninth).

Hopkins' loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Minnetonka, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-0-2 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hopkins will face off against Edina at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Edina's defense has only allowed 0.4 goals per game this season, so Hopkins' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Minnetonka, they will take on Maple Grove at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
