After a string of six wins, Liberty-Eylau's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They were dealt a 71-44 loss at the hands of the Hooks Hornets. While losing is never fun, the Leopards can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 429th, while the Hornets are ranked 179th).

Liberty-Eylau's defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-7. As for Hooks, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 25-5.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Atlanta the next time they take the court. Hooks will host Atlanta at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, while Liberty-Eylau will head out to face them at 6:30 p.m. on January 28th.
