Baseball Game Preview: Buckeye Hawks vs. North Canyon Rattlers

For the second straight game, Buckeye will face off against North Canyon. The Hawks will head out on the road to take on the Rattlers at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Buckeye is coming into the match on a six-game losing streak.

Buckeye came into this matchup off a tough 12-run defeat on Monday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of North Canyon by a score of 10-8 on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Hawks have suffered since March 29, 2024.

For North Canyon's part, they got a big performance out of Anthony Miranda, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI. Those two hits gave Miranda a new career-high. Johnny Huerta also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

North Canyon hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post two or more strikeouts.

North Canyon's victory bumped their record up to 8-12. As for Buckeye, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-14.
