Baseball Recap: 14 Straight Home Wins for Notre Dame

Notre Dame came tearing into Wednesday's contest with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Attica Blue Devils as they made off with a 7-1 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Fighting Irish also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

Finn Davies made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Davies was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one triple and one run. That triple was his first of the season.

Davies wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Evan Fitzpatrick, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. That's the most runs Fitzpatrick has posted since back in April of 2024. Owen Bentley was another, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases.

Notre Dame's victory was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-1. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.1 runs on average over those games. As for Attica, they are on an 11-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.
