On Thursday Troy Green kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out ten over six innings pitched. The effort also marked the fewest hits (zero) Green has had since back in February. As if that's not impressive enough, the pitching appearance was his sixth in a row with more than eight strikeouts. For the year, he has an ERA of .94 over 59.3 innings pitched.

Green's strong effort led Slidell over Chalmette and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
