Softball Recap: Pollok Central Comes Up Short

Pollok Central lost against Orangefield back in May of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Bulldogs fell just short of the Bobcats by a score of 2-1. That's two games in a row now that the Bulldogs have lost by just one run.

Pollok Central dropped their record down to 17-11-1 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. Those road defeats can't be blamed on the team's pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Orangefield, the victory was the 20th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 32-4.

While Pollok Central had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
