Baseball Recap: Galway Comes Up Short

Galway and Canajoharie squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Galway had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Cougars by a score of 5-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Golden Eagles have suffered against the Cougars since May 11, 2016.

Galway has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-12 record this season. As for Canajoharie, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season.

As of now, neither Galway nor Canajoharie have any future games scheduled.
