Softball Recap: Chaska Comes Up Short

The home team had come away the winner the last five times Chaska and Jefferson had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Hawks lost 12-1 to the Jaguars on Wednesday. The Hawks haven't had much luck with the Jaguars recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Laney Farm was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one triple and one RBI. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season.

Chaska's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Jefferson, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chaska will square off against Waconia at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Jefferson, they will venture away from home to challenge New Prague at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
