Softball Recap: Beech Grove Comes Up Short

Beech Grove was the 3-2 winner over Indianapolis Bishop Chatard when they last played one another back in May of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Hornets fell just short of the Trojans by a score of 4-3 on Monday. The Hornets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Addison Corn made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run.

Beech Grove's loss dropped their record down to 11-13-1. As for Indianapolis Bishop Chatard, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 20-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Beech Grove will face off against Christel House at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Hornets' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 13.8 runs per game this season. As for Indianapolis Bishop Chatard, they are taking a road trip to take on Indianapolis Lutheran at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
