Baseball Game Preview: Hillsboro Indians vs. Eastern Warriors

The Hillsboro Indians will head out on the road to challenge the Eastern Warriors at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.

On Wednesday, Hillsboro didn't have quite enough to beat McClain and fell 2-1. The Indians have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Eastern). They put the hurt on Ripley-Union-Lewis-Huntington with a sharp 24-0 victory on Thursday. The win continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Blue Jays: they've now won seven in a row.

Hillsboro now has a losing record of 8-9. As for Eastern, the victory was their first on the road, bumping their record up to 2-7.

Everything went Hillsboro's way against Eastern in their previous matchup back in May of 2025, as Hillsboro made off with a 7-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Indians since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
