Basketball Recap: Adams Comes Up Short

Adams was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 54-48 heartbreaker at the hands of the Chippewa Valley Big Reds. While losing is never fun, the Highlanders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 267th, while the Big Reds are ranked 32nd).

Jaden Brown continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Chippewa Valley, going 5 for 9 on his way to 13 points and eight rebounds. Izzy Plair was another key player, putting up seven points.

Adams' defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Chippewa Valley, their win was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-0.

Adams wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 48-43 victory against Hartland on the 10th. As for Chippewa Valley, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 65-51 win against Romeo on the 10th.
