Basketball Recap: Westinghouse Bulldogs vs. McConnellsburg Spartans

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Westinghouse can now relate to. They were outmatched by the McConnellsburg Spartans and fell 68-26. The Bulldogs just can't catch a break and have now endured seven losses in a row.

McConnellsburg's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Brayden Ramsey led the charge by going 9-for-16 en route to 24 points in addition to eight steals and five assists. That's the most steals Ramsey has posted since back in January of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Hoyt Glenn, who went 7-for-15 on his way to 18 points and four steals.

Westinghouse's defeat dropped their record down to 2-12. As for McConnellsburg, the win (which was their 21st in a row) raised their record to 22-1.

Westinghouse does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for McConnellsburg, they will square off against Berlin Brothersvalley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. McConnellsburg is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 64.2 points per game this season.
