Basketball Recap: Georgetown Comes Up Short

Georgetown was the 58-51 winner over Hendrickson when they last played one another back in February, but their luck changed this time around. The Georgetown Eagles fell just short of the Hendrickson Hawks by a score of 57-55 on Friday. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Eagles came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 250th, while the Hawks are ranked 923rd).

Georgetown's defeat dropped their record down to 11-8. As for Hendrickson, they pushed their record up to 5-13 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Georgetown will be taking part in a tournament against Canyon Lake at 10:30 a.m. on Friday. As for Hendrickson, they will take on Del Valle in a tournament on Friday.
