Baseball Game Preview: Lincoln Tigers vs. Carter Cowboys

For the second straight game, Lincoln will face off against Carter. The Tigers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Cowboys at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Lincoln is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.

On Tuesday, Lincoln came up short against Carter and fell 10-5.

For Carter's part, Jermiah Castillo made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single hit and allowed only one earned run while striking out ten over 4.1 innings pitched. Castillo was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-2.

In other batting news, Sean Armster was a standout: he scored two runs and stole six bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. That's the most runs he has posted since back in February. William Hall was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 3-for-4.

Lincoln now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Carter, with the victory, they broke their 12-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-13.
