Central Cass and Thompson are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2015, but not for long. The Central Cass Squirrels will venture away from home to square off against the Thompson Tommies at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Thompson took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Central Cass, who comes in off a win.

Central Cass took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. They walked away with a 57-46 win over Northern Cass.

Meanwhile, it's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Thompson can now relate to. They were dealt a 70-41 loss at the hands of the Firebirds on Thursday. The Tommies have struggled against the Firebirds recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meetings.

Central Cass has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-15 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.3 points over those games. Thompson's defeat dropped their record down to 15-8.

Central Cass couldn't quite finish off Thompson when the teams last played back in January and fell 58-56. Can Central Cass avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
