Softball Recap: Pathfinder RVT Takes a Loss

Pathfinder RVT was the 1-0 winner over Pope Francis Prep when they last played one another last Thursday, but their luck changed this time around. The Pioneers fell just short of the Cardinals by a score of 7-6 on Saturday. The Pioneers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Carly Juda and Emily McNeany did some serious damage despite the final result: Juda got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs, while McNeany went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run. Another player making a difference was Taylor Thornton, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances.

Pathfinder RVT's loss dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Pope Francis Prep, they pushed their record up to 7-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

Looking ahead, Pathfinder RVT will host Hampden Charter School of Science at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Pope Francis Prep, they are taking a road trip to challenge Springfield Renaissance at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
