Shaker has gone 9-1 against Saratoga Springs recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Bison will be playing in front of their home fans against the Blue Streaks at 7:00 p.m. Shaker is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games.

On Friday, Shaker needed a bit of extra time to put away Colonie Central. They managed a 27-21 victory over the Wolfpack. Given the Bison's advantage in MaxPreps' New York football rankings (they are ranked 33rd, while the Wolfpack are ranked 173rd) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Saratoga Springs lost to Christian Brothers Academy at home by a 40-21 margin on Friday. The loss continues a trend for the Blue Streaks in their meetings with the Brothers: they've now lost nine in a row.

Shaker will have to contain Benjamin Coryea as he made an impact in Saratoga Springs' last game. He rushed for 213 yards and one TD while picking up 13.3 yards per carry. Coryea's longest rush was for an incredible 70 yards.

Shaker's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Saratoga Springs, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Shaker took their victory against Saratoga Springs in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 35-14 score. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was the Blue Streaks' David Newell, who rushed for 119 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Now that he won't be playing on Friday, will it be easier for the Bison to walk away with another win? There's only one way to find out.
