Baseball Game Preview: Cadott Hornets vs. Fall Creek Crickets

For the second straight game, Cadott will face off against Fall Creek. The Hornets will take on the Crickets at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Cadott is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.6 runs per game this season.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Cadott and Fall Creek meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Tuesday. The Hornets came up short against the Crickets, falling 21-3.

Drew Rykal made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI.

The victory was the ninth in a row for Fall Creek, bringing their record up to 10-3-1. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Cadott, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-4.
