Softball Recap: Sand Creek Scorpions vs. Pueblo South Colts

If Sand Creek was riding high fresh off their 24-0 takedown of Mitchell last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Sand Creek Scorpions came up short against the Pueblo South Colts on Saturday, falling 13-1. The Scorpions were red-hot at the plate headed into the contest (they scored no less than ten runs in the four games prior) but the Colts' pitcher proved too tough.

Sand Creek saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jaida Moody, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Even though they lost, Sand Creek didn't let batters stay on the plate for long and finished the game with nine strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Pueblo South only tossed four.

Sand Creek's loss dropped their record down to 8-16. As for Pueblo South, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 9-14 record this season.

As of now, neither Sand Creek nor Pueblo South have any future games scheduled.
