Baseball Recap: Idaho Falls Victorious

After losing to Shelley the last time they met, Idaho Falls decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Tigers came out on top against the Russets by a score of 6-3 on Thursday.

Nelson Kunz tossed a big game, pitching 6.1 innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off two hits. What's more, he posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March.

At the plate, Idaho Falls saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tegan Sorenson, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, one double, and one RBI. Hudson Palmer also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Idaho Falls' win bumped their record up to 6-16. As for Shelley, they are on a 14-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-15.

Idaho Falls will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Russets: the pair will be back at it again later today.
