Softball Recap: Twin Valley Triumphs

With a playoff win on the line, Twin Valley rose to the challenge on Monday. They won by a run and slipped past the Shaler Area Titans 4-3.

Erin Cromwell made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out 12 batters over eight innings while giving up three earned runs off seven hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

In other batting news, Hailie Barton was excellent, going 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.

Twin Valley's victory bumped their record up to 20-3. As for Shaler Area, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-5.

As of now, neither Twin Valley nor the Titans have any future games scheduled.
