Basketball Recap: R.W. Goines Stem Academy Takes a Loss

R.W. Goines Stem Academy saw some tournament action on Saturday. They took a 71-64 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Prince George's Christian Academy Flyers. While losing is never fun, R.W. Goines Stem Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 359th in Texas, while Prince George's Christian Academy is ranked 27th in Maryland).

R.W. Goines Stem Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Prince George's Christian Academy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-6.

R.W. Goines Stem Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against Woodmere Academy at 2:30 p.m. on January 11th. One thing working in Woodmere Academy's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Prince George's Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to take on Academy of the New Church at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
