There's no place like home for Leesville Road, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They put the hurt on the Wake Forest Cougars with a sharp 35-14 victory on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Pride also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

Damacio Cueto had a dynamite game, throwing for 311 yards and four touchdowns while completing 82.6% of his passes. Those 311 passing yards gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Evan List, who picked up 83 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Wake Forest's loss came despite strong showings from Micah Olu and Isaiah Goodwin. Olu gained 90 total yards and a touchdown, while Goodwin picked up 45 receiving yards and one TD.

The win got Leesville Road back to even at 1-1. As for Wake Forest, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.
