Preview: Livingston Lions vs. Hamshire-Fannett Longhorns

Livingston is 2-8 against the Longhorns since November of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Livingston Lions will be playing at home against the Hamshire-Fannett Longhorns at 7:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

After a string of four wins, Livingston's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 66-46 walloping at the hands of Hargrave. Livingston has not had much luck with the Falcons recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.

Despite their defeat, Livingston saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Tearance Gray, who scored 17 points along with three steals, was perhaps the best of all. Gray has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyrell Fagan, who scored 12 points.

Meanwhile, Hamshire-Fannett unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Friday. They fell to Hargrave 57-51.

Livingston's loss dropped their record down to 11-10. As for Hamshire-Fannett, their defeat ended a ten-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 22-7.

Livingston ended up a good deal behind the Longhorns in their previous matchup back in January, losing 62-46. Can Livingston avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
