Baseball Game Preview: Gilbert Indians vs. Dreher Blue Devils

The Gilbert Indians will take on the Dreher Blue Devils at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Neither Gilbert nor Dreher posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

Gilbert's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Airport, sneaking past 1-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Indians have posted against the Eagles since April 24, 2024.

Meanwhile, Dreher was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They lost 13-1 to A.C. Flora.

Gilbert pushed their record up to 12-6-2 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.3 runs on average over those games. As for Dreher, their loss dropped their record down to 3-12.
