Softball Recap: Breckenridge Comes Up Short

Breckenridge was the 11-1 winner over Ashley when they last played one another back in May of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Huskies fell just short of the Bears by a score of 6-5 on Tuesday.

Adyson Collins and Ava Colthorp stepped up to the plate in a big way. Collins went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI, while Colthorp went 3-for-4 with two doubles and one run. Emma Tinson also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Breckenridge's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-5.

Coming up, Breckenridge will host St. Charles at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Ashley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
