Softball Recap: Mitchell Mountaineers vs. Johnson County Longhorns
The scorekeeper got an easy start on Thursday as neither Mitchell nor Johnson County made it on the board until the seventh inning. The Mountaineers narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Longhorns 2-1.
Mitchell's victory bumped their record up to 14-7. As for Johnson County, they now have a losing record of 10-11.
Mitchell does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Johnson County, they will challenge Happy Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Longhorns are facing the Warriors at the right time seeing as the Warriors are stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
