Preview: Walhalla Razorbacks vs. Pendleton Bulldogs
After seven games on the road, Walhalla is heading back home. They will take on the Pendleton Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Walhalla is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Pendleton in South Carolina (Walhalla is ranked 48th, while Pendleton is ranked 205th).
Walhalla scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They blew past Seneca 86-39 on the road. Walhalla has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 20 points or more this season.
Walhalla found their leader in underclassman Kami Roach, who scored 21 points along with nine steals and seven assists. Another player making a difference was Annie Campbell, who scored 12 points along with six assists and two steals.
Pendleton suffered their biggest loss since December 21, 2023 on Tuesday. They were outmatched by Daniel at home and fell 63-26.
Walhalla's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-6. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 32 points. As for Pendleton, their loss dropped their record down to 4-16.
Everything came up roses for Walhalla against Pendleton in their previous matchup back in February of 2023 as the squad secured a 74-35 victory. Does Walhalla have another victory up their sleeve, or will Pendleton turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
