Softball Recap: Hightstown Rams vs. St. Thomas Aquinas Trojans
Hightstown lost against St. Thomas Aquinas back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Rams fell just short of the Trojans by a score of 4-3. The Rams' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Kady Olsen was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. She struck out ten batters over six innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off seven hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one RBI.
Olsen wasn't the only one making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Adriana Cepeda, who went 2-for-4 with one run. Sofia Hulme also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.
Hightstown's defeat dropped their record down to 6-3. As for St. Thomas Aquinas, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 7-0.
Looking ahead, Hightstown will square off against Robbinsville at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for St. Thomas Aquinas, they will challenge Spotswood at 10:00 a.m. on Monday.
