It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Monterey had no problem doing just that on Friday. Everything went their way against the Abilene Eagles as they made off with a 4-1 victory. The result was nothing new for Monterey, who have now won ten contests by three goals or more so far this season.

They hit Abilene with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Frankie Diaz (2), JT Tuttle, and Miguel Robledo.

The win keeps Monterey at an undefeated 19-0-2. As for Abilene, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-8-3 record this season.

Monterey will challenge Americas on Monday. Americas will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Monterey surely won't give up without a fight. Abilene does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
