Basketball Recap: Willow Spring Extends Winning Streak to Three

Willow Spring had won two straight games and Brady Williams did his part to make it three on Tuesday. The Willow Spring Storm managed a 74-68 victory over the Cleveland Rams thanks in part to Williams, who went 6 of 9 on his way to 21 points and eight boards. He has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last seven times he's played.

Tyler Hodges was another key player, putting up six points and three steals. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.

When it comes to explaining why Cleveland lost, don't look at Jabari Green. Despite the final result, he posted 22 points and three steals. That's the most steals Green has posted since back in February of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Chris Tsolenyanu, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 14 rebounds.

Willow Spring has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. As for Cleveland, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-2.

Willow Spring didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 65-61 win against Fuquay - Varina on the 17th. Cleveland has also already played their next contest, a 70-63 victory against Southeast Raleigh on the 13th.
