Softball Recap: Saint James Extends Home Winning Streak to Six

Saint James's game on Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They put the hurt on Foxcroft with a sharp 19-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Saints in their matchups with Foxcroft: they've now won five in a row.

Carli Mazaleski ?25 was incredible, going 2-for-4 with four RBI, one triple, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Lily Schlotterbeck ?26, who scored three runs while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.

Saint James always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .794. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Foxcroft only posted an OBP of .211.

Saint James pushed their record up to 3-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.2 runs on average over those games. As for Foxcroft, they are on a 12-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.
