Soccer Recap: Green Canyon's Victory on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Green Canyon). They blew past the Northridge Knights 7-2 on Thursday. The win was just business as usual for Green Canyon, who after four games remain undefeated this season.

Their offense was hitting Northridge from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Eva Israelsen led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

Green Canyon's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Northridge, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Looking ahead, Green Canyon will face off against Bear River at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The match will give Green Canyon their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Northridge, they will challenge Morgan at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Northridge will be up against Morgan's rather soft defense (which has allowed 4.75 goals per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
