Tennessee high school football rankings: Father Ryan, Riverdale move into Top 25

Top-ranked Brentwood Academy pulls out tough 12-point win over No. 14 Montgomery Bell Academy.

Father Ryan and Riverdale jumped into this week's MaxPreps Tennessee Top 25 computer high school football rankings. Father Ryan, which was No. 26, moved up 11 spots following a 35-28 win over previous No. 16 Baylor, while Riverdale climbed four places to No. 25 after a 28-0 win over Siegal.

Father Ryan fought back from a 14-0 deficit to score five of the game's next seven touchdowns to move to 3-2. The Fighting Irish have even a bigger challenge this week, hosting fifth-ranked McCallie (6-1) on Friday. McCallie's only loss was a tough 30-27 home game to No. 4 Maryville.

Brentwood Academy remains No. 1 after a tough 24-14 win over previous No. 14 Montgomery Bell Academy, which got 107 yards rushing and two touchdowns by Patrick Wilk.

Among the top 10 teams, No. 3 Pope John Paul II and No. 6 Dobyns-Bennett jumped up the most, four and five spots, respectively.
