Basketball Recap: Custer Comes Up Short

Custer lost against Sturgis Brown back in December of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The contest between the Custer Wildcats and the Sturgis Brown Scoopers didn't end well, with the Custer Wildcats falling 57-38. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Custer's loss dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Sturgis Brown, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-11.

Looking ahead, Custer will take on Hill City at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Sturgis Brown, they will square off against Belle Fourche at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Sturgis Brown is facing Belle Fourche at the right time seeing as Belle Fourche is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
